Adam Peacock has done a series of four podcasts in Australia for exploring football youth development

AS wrote a few months ago in the middle of a period of anger over another exit of the group stage of the World Cup, "why be the greatest when you can not be the best".

This line was about what is happening in Australian football in terms of youth development. While football in Australia has more players than any other code, what is being done to ensure that the elite player production line contributes to the development of the sport?

I noticed a series of four podcasts, trying to touch different areas of youth development.

Everything is at the beginning. Tom Byer has followers, others claim that his ideas do not exist or that they are not important. His mantra is simple, and he wrote a book on the subject: football starts at home. As soon as a child can, give them a ball. Byer's ideas and methods are explained in detail here.
