Turkish Super Lig Soccer Game Live

The Super Lig (Turkish pronunciation: [ypsypæɾ liɟ] Superliga) is a professional football club in Turkey dealing with football. This is the highest level of the Turkish soccer league system and is managed by the Turkish Football Federation. Eighteen clubs compete for each year, where a champion is decided and three clubs are promoted and relegated to the forefront. The season runs from August to May, with each club playing 34 games. Matches are played from Friday to Monday.

The competition was initially created under the name of Milli Lig (National League) in 1959 - the first professional competition of the national league organized in Turkey. The league has taken over from the Turkish Football Championship and the National Division, both were high-level national competitions. The Super League currently occupies the tenth position in the UEFA league based on the performance of clubs in European competitions over the past five years. A total of 67 clubs participated in the Superliga, but only five have won the title: Galatasaray (21), Fenerbahçe (19) Beşiktaş (15), Trabzonspor (6) and Bursaspor (1).

History
Football in Turkey dates back to the late 19th century when the English have brought the game with them while living in Thessaloniki (then part of the Turkish Empire). The first competition in the league was the Istanbul Football League, which took place during the 1904-05 season. The league has seen some variations until the creation of Milli Lig (Superliga) in 1959. Between the creation of the League of Istanbul and the Milli Lig, several other regional leagues were held: Adana (1923), Ankara (1923), from Eskisehir (1920), Izmir (1923), Kayseri (1936) and Trabzon (1923). The Turkish soccer championship, which began in 1924 and continued until 1951, was the first competition to lead a national champion. The national division (in Turkish: Milli Küme) was the first national championship competition in Turkey. Initiated in 1937, Milli Küme was composed of the most powerful clubs in the Ankara, Istanbul and Izmir leagues. The championship lasted until 1950.

The Federation Cup was created in 1956 to designate a national champion. This champion would participate in the European Cup. The competition was held for two years until he was replaced by Milli Lig. Beşiktaş has won both editions and has qualified for the European Cup in the last two years. However, since the TFF could not register his name for the draw, Beşiktaş could not participate in the 1957-1958 season.

The best clubs in Ankara, Istanbul and Izmir attended the 1959 Milli Lig The first season took place during the calendar year 1959 instead of 1958 to 1959 since the qualifying phases took place in 1958. The 2.Lig (Second Division) was established at the beginning of the 1963-64 season and became the Milli Lig 1.Lig (First Division). Before the creation of a second division, the three lowest clubs competed with the winners of the regional league in a competition called Baraj Games. The three best teams in the group of seven teams were promoted to Milli Lig. After the creation of a new second division in 2001, known as 1. Lig, the former title 1. Lig was renamed Süper Lig.
