Liverpool makes club history against Southampton with 3-0 win

The Reds return to the top of the league, hoping that the Chelsea game on Sunday will determine their place after the sixth day.

The start of the 2018-19 season for Liverpool could not be better, and after six games, Jürgen Klopp seems to have decided to take his team to perfection.

His 3-0 win at Southampton has beaten a massive week for the German boss's team after his last-minute victory against PSG in the UEFA Champions League. Now, with a tough EPL game, the Reds managed to beat the Saints with goals from Mohamed Salah, Joel Matip and a goal by Wesley Hoedt.

Liverpool has yet to win points this season in all competitions, which in itself is a new record for the Merseyside club.

Despite what some thought was a bad start to the season, Mo Salah's goal confirmed his place as a team player.

Only time will tell if Liverpool can maintain its position throughout the season, but its start was quite impressive and, to this day, will be registered in the team's records for a while.
